Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Need quick answers? Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we get.

What does The eLearning Group do?

We help coaches, consultants, experts, and organisations turn knowledge into engaging, bitesize eLearning. You can host your courses on our platform, choose the level of support you want, or work with us through eLearning Design.

What is the difference between DIY, Guided Support, and Hands-on Help?

DIY is the most self-serve option. Guided Support gives you help behind the scenes with setup, admin, reporting, and user management. Hands-on Help is the most supported route, with practical help as your course takes shape inside the platform.

Is there a minimum contract?

No. Hosting is rolling monthly and you can cancel at any time.

Can I change my hosting option later?

Yes. If your needs change, you can move to a different support level.

Can I see a demo before I commit?

Yes. We can show you around the platform so you can see how it works and what it feels like to build and deliver a course.

What is eLearning Design?

eLearning Design is our collaborative service for turning your content into a structured, engaging online course. You bring the expertise and source materials, and we shape the course structure and learning experience so it works for online delivery.

Do I have to host with you if I use eLearning Design?

No. eLearning Design is a standalone service, so you can host your course wherever suits you. If you’d like us to host a course we’ve designed, we can talk you through the best option on a quick call.

What is SCORM, and do I own my SCORM files?

SCORM is a widely used eLearning file format that allows a course to be uploaded and delivered on SCORM-compatible learning platforms, with reporting such as learner progress and completion. If we create your course as a SCORM file, you own the finished files, so you’re not tied to hosting with us.

Who owns the intellectual property (IP) in my course?

You do. Your content, materials, and course IP remain yours – we don’t claim ownership. As with any online learning, learners may still be able to copy text or take screenshots, so if IP protection is a concern we can also discuss additional options (for example, blended delivery, access controls, and practical deterrents) to reduce the risk.

I’m not sure which route is right for me. Can you help?

Yes. If you’re unsure, get in touch and we’ll help you choose the best next step based on what you’re trying to achieve and how much support you want.
